MANAGEMENT:

Swelling

Swelling  is a normal result of the injections and will generally disappear within 5-10 days.

Swelling may also appear asymmetrical, this is normal and not an indication of the end result. Natural asymmetries are normal.

Swelling Relief

  • Apply a cool compress to the area  for 10 minutes every hour on treatment day.
  • Take an antihistamine (e.g. 10mg loratadine)
  • Try sleeping on your back, slightly elevated, to prevent pressure build-up on the face

Bruising

Bruising is a common and expected side effect. This is not due to poor technique and will not alter the final result of your treatment. In order to reduce bruising, it is important to adhere to the aftercare regime.

Bruising Relief

  • Avoid any medications containing NSAIDs, aspirin, vitamin E and ginseng for the week prior and the week following treatment, unless medically necessary and after discussion with your doctor/nurse.
  • Apply a cool compress to the area for 10 minutes every hour on treatment day.
  • Apply topical Arnica or Hirudoid cream to the affected area.

We offer HEALITE II LED treatments for those cases where bruising is severe and not manageable with home remedies.

Pain and Discomfort

Post treatment discomfort is completely normal. However, if you are experiencing any extreme discomfort, nerve pain or numbness or muscle dysfunction please inform the clinic.

Pain and Discomfort Relief

  • Take regular paracetamol.
  • Apply a cool compress.
  • Sleep on your back, slightly elevated.

FAQs

How long until I see results?

You will begin to see the results at approximately 6 to 8 weeks post-treatment. You may require additional treatments to achieve your desired outcome as results depend on individual factors such as the condition of the skin prior to treatment, the presence of sun damage, adherence to aftercare, metabolism and lifestyle such as smoking .

What results can I expect from the treatment?

PDO mono threads are used to rejuvenate the skin and stimulate collagen, they do not lift the skin.

How long do results last?

Results typically last up to 12 months. Results improve with time due to collagen stimulation. As per the consent process, results are variable and dependent on multiple client factors, particularly pre-treatment skin condition. Combination treatments with other non-surgical modalities are recommended.

Please contact the clinic on (08) 9324 1604 (West Perth), (08) 9260 6800 (Claremont) or at (08) 9260 6880 (Joondalup) if you have any questions about your treatment or aftercare instructions.
