In accordance with Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) regulations, we are unable to provide detailed or promotional information about specific injectable treatments online. Providing such information may be interpreted as advertising prescription-only (Schedule 4) therapeutic goods, which is not permitted.
For this reason, a consultation with one of our qualified practitioners is required prior to any PRF treatment. During your consultation, your practitioner will assess your medical history, skin quality, anatomy and concerns, discuss appropriate treatment options, and provide education around suitability, expectations and risks.
A personalised treatment plan will be created based on your individual needs, and treatment costs will be discussed in detail.
Understanding BioFiller
BioFiller is prepared using components derived from a patient’s own blood. Using specialised processing equipment, platelet-poor plasma is heat-processed to form a Plasma Albumin Gel (PAG), creating a soft, protein-based matrix. This is then combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to create an autologous preparation for use according to an individual treatment plan.
The resulting preparation contains blood-derived components within a more structured matrix, which may provide scaffold-like support when placed within selected areas of the face.
During consultation, BioFiller may be discussed in relation to concerns such as:
- Structural support in areas of facial volume loss
- Skin firmness and elasticity
- Skin tone and texture
- Support for processes associated with collagen and elastin production
Suitability for BioFiller is assessed on an individual basis. Your practitioner will discuss the proposed treatment approach, expected outcomes, limitations and potential risks during consultation.

Why people consider BioFiller
As part of the natural ageing process, changes occur in the skin, connective tissue and underlying facial structures. These changes may include a loss of facial volume in areas such as the cheeks, temples, jawline and under-eye region.
BioFiller may be considered by individuals who:
- Are interested in an autologous treatment approach using components derived from their own blood
- Wish to discuss concerns relating to facial volume and structural support
- Have concerns relating to skin quality, firmness, elasticity, tone or texture
- Are interested in how BioFiller may form part of an individualised treatment plan
Suitability for BioFiller varies between individuals and is determined following consultation with a qualified practitioner.
How BioFiller works
A small sample of your blood is collected and processed to separate different blood components, including platelet-poor plasma and platelet-rich plasma. The platelet-poor plasma is heat-processed using specialised equipment to form a Plasma Albumin Gel (PAG), which is then cooled and combined with platelet-rich plasma to create the BioFiller preparation.
The prepared BioFiller is then introduced into the selected treatment area using an appropriate technique, which may include a fine, blunt-tipped cannula.
Once placed within the tissue, the BioFiller matrix may:
- Form a scaffold-like structure within selected treatment areas
- Provide structural support in areas of facial volume loss
- Contain naturally occurring growth factors from the PRP component
- Support cellular processes associated with skin quality, collagen and elastin production
Changes following BioFiller treatment may develop gradually and vary between individuals. Expected outcomes, timeframe, limitations and potential risks are discussed with your practitioner as part of your consultation.
What areas can be treated with BioFiller?
BioFiller can be considered for a range of facial concerns, including:
- Cheek and temple volume support
- Jawline and lower face support
- Under-eye area and tear trough hollows
- Nasolabial folds and marionette lines
- Areas of facial volume loss more broadly
- Back of hands
Your practitioner will determine which areas are appropriate based on your goals and individual assessment.
