Youth Lab X Pancare 2026 Charity Dinner

Written by Dr Kate Jameson

On Friday, May 8, we hosted our 2026 Youth Lab x Pancare Charity Dinner at Besk in West Leederville – an evening that was incredibly meaningful.

Bringing together our community in support of The Pancare Foundation, the night was centred around connection, compassion and a collective commitment to raising both awareness and essential funding for families affected by pancreatic cancer.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere felt intimate, elevated and deeply heartfelt. Besk provided the perfect setting for the evening, with an exceptional menu flowing throughout the night – think sliders, steak tartare, bang bang chicken, the list goes on – accompanied by endless Aperol spritzes, bubbles and cocktails shared across the room.

The space itself was thoughtfully curated and layered with striking detail. Sir Botanicals transformed Besk with rich burgundy calla lilies and hydrangeas, while works from Julia Freiseisen and Sara Winfield brought a refined artistic element to the evening, reminiscent of a carefully curated gallery setting. One of the standout features of the night was the sculptural Kallis Jewellery Nexus Choker, showcased as part of their support as our principal jewellery sponsor.

The support shown throughout the evening was extraordinary, with an outstanding $35,000 raised for The Pancare Foundation. These funds will directly contribute towards pancreatic cancer research, patient support and advocacy – initiatives that are profoundly important to those navigating the realities of this devastating disease.

One of the most poignant moments of the evening came from our guest speaker, Laura, who shared a deeply personal tribute to her father following his passing from pancreatic cancer. Her honesty and vulnerability served as a powerful reminder of why evenings like this carry such significance.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to our wonderful MC, Bec Marsh, whose warmth and presence guided the evening so effortlessly, along with our valued sponsors and supporters including, but not limited, to The Pancare Foundation, Besk, Switch Agency, Sir Botanicals, Kallis Jewellery, Luxury Escapes, B-Store, Skinceuticals, Julia Freiseisen, Sara Winfield and Chris Wilson. We are deeply appreciative of every business and individual who contributed auction items, experiences and support so thoughtfully.

The auction itself was a highlight of the evening – from luxury skincare collections and B-Store’s Birkenstocks to exclusive Bali escapes – seeing the room unite so wholeheartedly in support of the cause was incredibly moving.

At Youth Lab, community has always been at the centre of everything we do, and this evening was a meaningful reflection of what can be achieved when people come together with purpose and compassion.

To every person who attended, donated, bid, shared or supported the evening in any way — thank you. Your contribution will make a tangible difference.
