What inspired you to become a Cosmetic Doctor?
I’ve always been excited by the fusion of science and beauty. As a doctor, I love the evidence-based side of medicine, but I also wanted to build long-term relationships with my patients and make a meaningful impact on their confidence and wellbeing. Aesthetic medicine allows me to combine my clinical experience with a passion for helping people feel empowered in their own skin.
What is your approach to cosmetic injectables?
I take a personalised approach to each treatment, ensuring it’s tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. I believe in using evidence-based treatments that enhance natural beauty, creating a refreshed and balanced look – often through a plan of subtle enhancements over time. It’s important to me that my clients feel comfortable and confident with the results, knowing that every step is thoughtfully considered to highlight what makes them, them.
When you’re getting treatments, what kind of client are you?
When I’m in the chair, I really love to understand the why behind every step of the process. I value a holistic, thoughtful approach and trust in practitioners who are not only technically skilled, but who also genuinely care about results that still feel like me – just a little more glowy and well-rested!
What do you love the most about being a Cosmetic Doctor?
What I love most is the ability to help people feel more confident in their own skin. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how a treatment can help someone feel more like themselves again, giving them both a refreshing boost and a confidence lift. I love that I get to feel that glow with my clients every day, while also working in such a dynamic, evolving medical space where science and beauty come together!
What is your favourite injectable concern to treat and why?
I love treating areas that offer a big impact with a soft touch — like the lips or cheeks. These features can truly influence how someone feels about their face, and when done right, the results are beautiful and subtle. It’s about restoring harmony and freshness, without ever overpowering the natural features. I absolutely love the confidence and joy that a subtle but immediately refreshing boost can provide to my clients.
What treatments have you had this year? How can we get skin just like yours?
This year, I’ve been focusing on consistency and prevention — including anti-wrinkle treatments, bioremodelling injections, and regular Hydrafacials to keep hydration and glow in check. At home, I keep it simple but effective with consistent skincare and daily SPF. Glowy skin is definitely a long game!
After years of trying to combat acne with every active ingredient I could get my hands on, I’ve learned that the real key is balancing my skincare regime and placing priority on repairing my skin barrier. It’s been a game-changer for me, and I’m always excited to chat away to clients who are interested in finding that balance (and learning from my mistakes) too!
What is your favourite thing to do outside of work?
When I’m not in the clinic, I love spending time outdoors with my very energetic Groodle puppy, Chilli. She’s a little (suddenly now big) bundle of chaos, so we’re often at the beach or walking along the river – though always with SPF 50+ in tow!
What is your favourite part of working at Youth Lab?
My favourite part of working at Youth Lab is both our clients, and our team. I feel so lucky to be part of a team that’s not only incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, but also genuinely passionate about what we do. I love that Youth Lab is always at the forefront of innovative treatments, but with a strong, shared commitment to natural, thoughtful enhancements. Our goal is always to help clients feel like the best version of themselves, and that shared ethos runs through everything we do.
What treatment do you see becoming popular in 2025?
Regenerative medicine is definitely stepping into the spotlight. Treatments like bioremodellers, polynucleotides, and biostimulators are leading the way – they work to improve skin quality from the inside out, delivering results that are natural, long-lasting, and incredibly skin-positive. More and more, our clients are looking for treatments that prioritise long-term skin health and subtle, beautiful results – which I absolutely love.
What is the one piece of skin advice you wish all of your clients would follow?
Sunscreen every single day – rain, hail or shine. In my role as a GP, I see too many of the devastating effects of skin cancer, along with the long-term damage that can come from our beautiful (but harsh) Perth outdoor lifestyle. UV exposure is not only the number one cause of premature ageing, but also a major health risk. And from an aesthetic perspective – if you’re not protecting your skin, then all the amazing results from your treatments and skincare are slowly being undone. I think of SPF as our daily insurance policy for healthy, glowing, future-proof skin.
