BBL device
Forever Young BBL treatments are effective for keeping skin healthy and slowing the signs of skin ageing, targeting concerns such as laxity, pigmented and vascular lesions, uneven pigmentation and textural changes.

BBL treatments at regular intervals appear to promote the maintenance of the skins internal structures, contributing to the preservation of healthy skin and a youthful appearance.

The science behind the Forever Young BBL is that the treatment can cause a functional change in the regulators of ageing and trigger a series of events to halt the skin ageing process.

It is not just the physical appearance of your skin that is improved following a treatment, there is a change in how your genes work to control ageing. As a result, the skin appears rejuvenated and youthfulness is retained.

The overall goal of the Forever Young BBL Protocol is to maintain healthy skin and delay the appearance of skin ageing. The BBL technology is a skin rejuvenation technology and when used as part of the Forever Young BBL regime can be used to treat numerous conditions

BBL before and after
The Forever Young BBL can treat the face, neck, decolletage, arms and hands or any area of the body that requires rejuvenation.

For greater improvement in skin laxity, our BBL SkinTyte II procedure can be performed immediately after the Forever Young BBL treatment.

Forever Young BBL has shown to be safe and efficacious in all skin types. The benefits of BBL treatment are the same for patients of many skin types, including maintaining skin tone, clarity, smoothness, and delaying the development of wrinkles and laxity.

BBL before and after side
Studies have shown that those who have regular Forever Young BBL treatments every year visibly look younger and can delay the tell tale signs of ageing.

“The study supports the hypothesis that regulators of aging can be altered in human skin using BBL technology to provide a functional change, rather than just a cosmetic mimic of youthful appearance. BBL treatments promote the appearance of youthful skin. This study reveals that the appearance of younger skin may be due to the differences observed in gene expression patterns of aged skin becoming more like young skin. Treatments from the study were performed on the FDA-cleared Sciton Joule using the BBL module”.

FAQs

What does the treatment involve?

The treatment is similar to a standard BBL Corrective treatment. Selective filters for the particular condition or patient concern are selected and the treatment takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. In the Forever Young BBL treatment multiple filters may be used with multiple passes over the skin.

Treatments for the purpose of delaying skin aging employ the use of lower power and more conservative parameters than corrective BBL treatments. Forever Young BBL uses multiple passes and requires coverage of the entire cosmetic zone (i.e. the full face).

The treatment is tolerated well with clients reporting a warm sensation like an elastic band snapping on the skin. Immediately following the treatment the skin appears red and warm. No pain relief is required for the treatment.

The procedure is gentle with minimal risks. The BBL technology is so advanced that the filers can also be used on higher risk skin types (darker skin). Those with higher risk skin types will be prescribed a lightening cream or skin preparation cream for 2-4 weeks prior to the treatment to ensure the skin is in optimal condition. For the best long term results, preparation is key. Sun exposure, tanning and fake tan is to be avoided for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to treatment.

How long do results last?

Following the initial treatment course there will be a noticeable improvement in photodamage, pigmentation, redness, fine lines, texture and laxity of the skin. Overall the skin will appear more luminous and brighter.

The treatment regime for Forever Young BBL differs to standard BBL protocols given the primary aim is anti-ageing and rejuvenation of the skin.  We recommend a full course of BBL corrective to start with spaced every 2-4 weeks. Following this, Forever Young BBL treatments can commence at intervals of every 3 months.  Maintenance treatments are essential and for long term results one treatment every 3 to 4 months is recommended.

What happens after my treatment?

The aftercare following Forever Young BBL is the same as a BBL Corrective treatment. There will be warmth and redness to the skin which may last a few hours. Occasionally pigmentation will darken over the next 7-14 days and eventually flake off. Makeup can be applied immediately following treatment and normal activities resumed.

We advise against heavy exercise immediately afterwards and strict sun protection is needed. Protecting the skin from the sun following a Forever Young BBL treatment is essential for optimal results.

Full aftercare instructions will be provided following your treatment.

What are the risks of treatment?

BBL Forever Young treatment is very safe and due to the advanced technology is now much safer than IPL on higher risk skin types. It is important to note that IPL treatments are not regulated in Australia with cheap and dangerous machines being purchased from overseas and used in beauty salons.

Youth Lab only used scientifically proven medical devices and technologies and you can be assured you will be in safe hands with expert clinicians.

The general down time from BBL Forever Young treatment is minimal. This may include redness and some localised swelling which will decrease in a few days. Rarer side effects are burns and blistering due to settings being too high and in very rare cases post inflammatory hyper or hypopigmentation which is skin color changes that can last for many months. This can be treated but is understandably distressing.

Attending a clinic where there is medical supervision from doctors ensures the safety of your treatment and the effective treatment of any adverse events.
